RED FLAGS

Words, full of honey and exaggerated sounds,
rainbow biscuits, chocolate candy, lolipops,
behind your blue eyes there was hidden greed,
you covered me with sticky sugar drops.

You only wanted seeing me by moonlight,
that was proof enough of your intentions.
Me, so determined to accept your bite,
I blurred your red flags to soft pink polite.
